Steps to make a video edit, insert your logo, add images, and include a video link usingCanva:
1. Create a New Video Design in Canva:
-
Go to Canva.
-
Log in to your account or create a new one.
-
On the homepage, type “Video” in the search bar and select the video template you want to use (or choose "Custom Dimensions" if you want a specific size).
-
Click on the "Create a Design" button.
2. Upload Your Logo:
-
On the left sidebar, click on "Uploads".
-
Click "Upload Files" and choose your logo from your computer.
-
Once uploaded, click on the logo and it will appear in the video editor.
-
Drag and drop your logo to the desired location on the video (e.g., corner of the video for branding).
3. Add Images:
-
On the left sidebar, click on "Elements" or "Uploads" (if you’ve already uploaded images).
-
If you’re adding images from Canva's library, search for the type of image you want (e.g., "nature," "people," etc.), and click to add it.
-
To upload your own image, click "Upload Files", choose the image from your computer, and drag it to your video.
-
Resize and position the image as needed.
4. Insert a Video Link (Text with URL or Hyperlink):
-
If you want to add a clickable video link or a text-based URL, use the Text option.
-
On the left sidebar, click "Text" and choose a text style to add to your video.
-
Type the URL or link you want to share.
-
Position it on the video screen where you want it to appear.
-
(Note: Links added this way are visible in the video, but you can’t make them clickable in the video itself. To share a clickable link, provide it in the video description after uploading to platforms like YouTube or Vimeo.)
5. Edit Your Video:
-
To add or trim video clips, click "Uploads", upload your video file, and drag it to the timeline.
-
You can trim or split the video by selecting it on the timeline and clicking on the scissors icon.
-
Add transitions, effects, and animations by clicking on elements in the timeline and choosing the animation options.
6. Adjust Timing:
-
Click on the elements (images, text, or video) in the timeline.
-
Adjust their timing by dragging the edges of the element to the right or left.
-
This will make them appear longer or shorter within the video.
7. Preview and Finalize Your Video:
-
Once you've added your logo, images, text, and video link, preview the video by clicking the Play button above the timeline.
-
Make any final adjustments if needed.
8. Download or Share Your Video:
-
When you’re satisfied with the result, click on the "Download" button in the top-right corner.
-
Select the video format (MP4 is recommended) and click "Download".
-
You can now upload it to social media platforms, YouTube, or any video-sharing service.
Additional Tips:

Adding Transitions: Click between two elements on the timeline to add a transition between them for smooth scene changes.
